Only a few diamonds in the world can become a Black by Brian Gavin. We do offer a select number of diamonds that are already cut and ready to ship, but if you cannot find exactly what you desire, you may opt to have a Black by Brian Gavin cut exclusively for you.
With five generations crafting the finest diamonds in the world, we’ve built industry relationships that stand strong to this day. When you have a specific type of diamond in mind, we always have our ear to the ground, ready to custom cut that ideal stone just for you.
Every Black by Brian Gavin is crafted by master diamond cutters and polishers for unmatched precision, and ultimately approved by Brian Gavin and his personally trained team. Only this level of focus could result in a diamond as exquisite and vibrant as a Black by Brian Gavin.
After every Black by Brian Gavin is crafted, it is then sent for grading to the AGS (American Gem Society). When it is returned to our facility, we analyze the results to ensure that the selected diamond can be awarded the Black by Brian Gavin distinction.
Once your diamond is ready to ship, there’s nothing more important to us than making sure it gets to you safely and in a timely manner.
Within the USA
We ship FedEx Overnight complimentary within the USA. There is a surcharge for Saturday delivery should you request it. All packages are shipped to a FedEx Station and held for pick up. You will be required to present a government-issued picture ID to the FedEx agent before the package is released to you.
We ship FedEx Priority International to locations outside of the US. The cost of shipping/insurance will depend on the value of the package. You are responsible for all import duties/taxes. These rates can be acquired by calling your local FedEx agent.
APO (Army Post Office) Addresses
We are proud to ship to all APO addresses via USPS registered/ insured mail at no additional charge.
Your package is fully insured in transit. Insurance ends when you sign for the package at the FedEx Station.

Six-Month and Yearly Check-Ins
We’ll contact you six and 12 months after your Black by Brian Gavin purchase and answer any questions you might have. If you’re in the area, stop by the Houston office for a cleaning and quick inspection.

Whether you’ve had your Black by Brian Gavin diamond for six days or six years, Black by Brian Gavin customers are always a priority to us. Send us an email or give us a call, and we’ll be sure to answer your questions or concerns within one business day.
Here are a few things you’ll need to know should you need to return your Black by Brian Gavin diamond. We will, of course, do everything in our power to ensure that the diamond you ordered meets your expectations, so please reach out to us first.
If you decide that you would like to return your purchase, you must inform us via e-mail before the end of the 15th day after you receive your diamond.
We will e-mail you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN), which must be written on the outside of the return package.
All packages must be returned via United States Postal Service (USPS) Registered/Insured Mail. The insurance amount should be for the amount you paid for your diamond.
The package must be postmarked no later than the 15th day after receipt of the product.
Once the package is received, it will be opened under camera and the contents will be inspected to confirm that the items are in their original, undamaged condition. If you have damaged or mislaid the certificate/report, there will be a $200 charge to have it reissued at the lab.
Your refund will be issued 3 to 5 business day via original form of payment. Original FedEx shipping/insurance charges will be deducted from your refund.
