Coincidences are exceptions in life. Things usually happen for a reason. This is probably why in 1858, company founder Jean Jacques Arbenz established himself in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, where everything indispensable for the production of his discerning jewelry was readily available by hand, including the magnificent location on the Rhine, the medieval town center, the surrounding natural beauty, and the overwhelming power of the Rhine Falls. All this was and is a source of a creative strength, which has always inspired the development of exceptional pieces of jewelry.
Today the award winning Furrer Jacot stands for a more than 150-year tradition of craftsmanship for custom-made jewelry, particularly exclusive wedding, engagement and eternity rings (with one of their well known areas of specialty being carbon fiber.). Although the former one-man enterprise has developed into a producer of exclusive jewelry with a worldwide presence, dedication to the highest standards of craftsmanship and distinctive production remains at the heart of Furrer Jacot’s thoughts and actions.
For over 25 years, Lucas Ruppli has been the head of the design department of Furrer Jacot in Switzerland and is responsible for the development of their outstanding luxury jewelry.
In general, his design approach is very clear and straight forward: “It is important to me that design reflects the mood of today, and that it not only transcends fashion, but continues to be unique and carry an aura of mystique.”
